C-PRIOR Collaboration
We're collaborating with researchers at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College to bring an exciting opportunity to CIRCuit clinicians.
We’re proud to highlight C-PRIOR (Implementation of the MAINTAIN instrument for spinal pain) — a clinical trial exploring whether a short screening tool can help identify patients with recurrent spinal pain who will benefit most from maintenance care. The study includes structured care, 12-month follow-up, and a randomized comparison of care approaches in everyday clinical settings.

Clinician recruitment begins
CIRCuit begins recruitment of chiropractic clinicians to its register, who will be asked to share demographic and practice data to facilitate targeting of research projects to suitable clinicians.
CIRCuit will also publish a summary of the demographics of its clinicians after the initial recruitment drive.
January 2022
CIRCuit awarded a small grant
CIRCuit was awarded a small grant by the Research Centre for Applied Sport, Physical Activity, and Performance at the University of Central Lancashire.
This grant will assist CIRCuit in surveying its initial clinician members to develop a detailed member database and publish demographic information.

A name & logo for CIRCuit!
The steering committee agreed on the name Chiropractic International Research Collaborative, or CIRCuit for short.
Our logo was designed to represent our three key stakeholders - researchers, chiropractic clinicians, and patients - working together.
July 2020
Scientific Review Committee structure
The structure and function of CIRCuit's scientific review committee was agreed.
Once active, this committee will oversee the process of vetting research projects that wish to recruit via the CIRCuit membership database.

Steering Committee formed
The steering committee for CIRCuit was formed and work officially began. Terms of reference, structure, and membership of the committee was agreed.

CIRCuit Demographic Study
We have published results from our initial clinician membership survey. Clinician membership is still open and growing - we'd love you to join us!

Poster presentation at CARLoquium 2022
In March, CIRCuit steering committee member Sasha Aspinall presented a poster detailing the protocol for our upcoming clinician membership drive and associated demographic study.
The poster was titled CIRCuit: Recruiting for a new international chiropractic practice-based research network.
August 2021
CIRCuit registered as a charity
CIRCuit was officially registered as a charity with The Charity Commission in England and Wales.
This will facilitate future sponsorship arrangements and donations to CIRCuit to support our important work.
October 2020
Change of steering committee leadership
Professor Bruce Walker AM, a founding member of CIRCuit and steering committee chair, stepped down from his role and retired.
Dr Kenneth Young took up the position of steering committee chair.
May 2020
Mission statement & objectives adopted
The steering committee officially adopted a Mission Statement, Aim, and Objectives for our practice-based research network.
